Hoi hikers! 👋⛰️
We’re heading to Zermatt over the long weekend (1–3 August)!
The weather forecast looks promising so far, and it’s a great opportunity to explore and enjoy this beautiful area together.
Here’s the plan:
Since most accommodations are fully booked, we’ll be staying at the Camping right next to Zermatt train station.
The cost is CHF 20 per night per person (CHF 16 + CHF 4 city tax).
You can also rent tents directly from the campsite (reservation is required).
📞 Due to the high number of visitors expected that weekend, we strongly recommend booking your camping spot in advance. Each person is responsible for reserving their own place or tent.
Camping phone number: +41 79 536 46 30
Food:
There are Coop, Migros, and Denner nearby. We can either cook together, prepare something for lunch, or grab a bite in town—flexible as always!
Hiking plan:
Day 1: 5 Lakes Walk (Nr. 11)
Day 2: Edelweiss Trail (Höhbalmen) (Nr. 30)
Day 3: Gornergrat
The plan is flexible and can be adjusted depending on the group’s preferences.
Looking forward to a fun and scenic weekend in the mountains! 🏔️🌞
