We start from Reutte in Tirol. From there we go up to Zunderkopf (1726 m) followed by Säuling (2039 m). Afterwards, we get down on the other side of the mountain and reach Neuschwanstein castle, Hohenschwangau. From Hohenschwangau, we either walk or take a bus to Füssen, from where we come back to Munich by train.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T4 (mostly T3 though). Please read the blog on this website to understand the requirement for the T4 SAC scale. This is not suitable for beginners.

Things to bring:

1. Hiking boots

3. Enough water and food for yourself for the whole day.

4. Cash for the ticket.

5. Warm clothes. Rain jacket.

6. Headlamp.
