If the weather forecast doesn't get worse, planning to hike to Platthorn (3345m) and Mettelhorn (3405m) from Zermatt with views of Matterhorn and several Valais 4000ers.

Technical difficulty: T4 (short marked glacier crossing, spikes/crampons recommended) 

Elevation gain: 1900m

Expected pace: 400-500 m/h vertical gain

Expected duration: 8-9 hours

Distance: ~19km
