It will be hot this weekend, so let's gain a bit of altitude! (And enjoy some views too.)
We start from Gaflei, Klinik shortly after the bus arrives at 09:47 (from Zurich HB, depart from track 10 at 07:38). Then we proceed over Kuegrat and Garsellikopf before picking up the white-blue-white route over the Drei Schwestern themselves. To finish the hike we descend via Gafadurahütte to the bus stop at Planken, Schulhaus (buses at XX:42, and also 17:21, 18:21 etc.).
The route is mostly T3 with a bit of T4, not T5, and any sketchy parts are secured with fixed ropes... but in any case, this hike is not suitable for beginners.
If you need
to know more about the SAC's "T" scale for hiking routes, see: https://www.sac-cas.ch/fileadmin/Ausbildung_und_Wissen/Sicher_unterwegs/Sicher_unterwegs_Wandern/2020_Berg_Alpinwanderskala_EN.pdf
We will aim for a moderate pace, because
a landscape like this deserves to be savored.
Bring sufficient food and water for your
needs. Hiking poles may be helpful,
because we'll be descending about 1200 m.
Bring hiking boots, not street shoes.
And you might want to leave your vertigo at home.
