Description

Hike through the gardens of Linderhof castle (one of King Ludwig of Bavaria's fairytale castles), then hike up to August-Schuster-Haus hut and have lunch there. Then walk on the ridge (fine views on one or both sides) and gently down to Oberammergau.

We train and bus there (08:34 to Oberau, then bus to Linderhof Forsthaus arrival planned 10:12) and will try to be back for the 16:38 train and a scheduled arrival in Munich at 18:26.

Please bring hiking gear suitable for the weather, water/drinks, finger food, your D-Ticket or BY-Ticket, and cash for the hut.
