Description

Hi everyone!

The weather seems meh for this weekend, but that won't stop us nature-lovers from having an adventure, so come join me for this wildcamping trip in the Silvretta region!

Please be aware that this is a wildcamping event, so you will need to bring your own camping gear and know how to use it. We will strictly adhere to leave-no-trace principles, so no leaving trash or building fires! We are passing the Swiss border on day 1, which means camping above the treeline should technically be legal, however i'm not 100% certain. I will try to find out more info about this before the start of the event.

The route in this event is a suggestion, we can decide the details and possible variants amongst ourselves. I will make a whatsapp group to discuss further, so please send me your number as soon as you sign up for the event.

Day 1, Saturday, 30th of August:

  • We meet in Lermoos (reachable by train from Munich), from where we can take my car to Ischgl. Alternatively you can take your own transport and we meet there.
  • From here we will hike approx. 5 hours (1000hm, 15km) up into the valley. At the upper end (2400m) there looks to be some suitable places to camp away from the trail and with running water nearby.

Day 2, Saturday, 24th of August:

  • Early breakfast & packing up.
  • From there we can decide on multiple extra options: Piz Davo Lais (3027m) or Piz Tasna (3179m, no trail)
  • In any case i'd like to go up Curuna Lada (3079m) and hike over a ridge that is right on the border beween Austria and Switzerland. From there we can descend into the Jamtal and descend it all the way to Galtur, or cross over the Getschnerscharte and descend to Bielerhohe from where we can take a bus (or hitchhike) back to the car.
