Not suitable for beginners!
Hi!
Very spontaneous plan to do the Mittenwalder Höhenweg via the Dammkar tunnel tomorrow (31.08). This a hike rather than a via ferrata event, so I expect you to be comfortable with doing long, exposed T4 and B ferrata sections without clipping in all the time (from time to time is fine). I will not be carrying a kit, but you are free to bring one if it makes you feel safer. A helmet is recommended.
We take the train from München Hbf to Mittenwald departing at 06:32 (with a change in Garmisch at 07:55). I have not done this route before, so I am not sure exactly how long it will take. Please keep the day free if you'd like to join. There are trains back every XX:36.
We can stop at huts along the way for refilling water and potentially even food if we have the time. However, please carry enough water (>=2L) and snacks for the whole day in case we don't have time to make a long stop.
