Description
Public holidays are the best! :)
Weather for 3rd Oct is looking promising -  good with enough sun and not too warmish.
Good base for an autumn hike in Lechtlaer Alps.
Feel free to join if you have no plans for extended weekend yet.

The orga/ logistics stuff:

Return
 Bichlbach-Berwang to Munich with S 7 / RB 60 (5523):
Return connection > Aim 16:16 / 17:16, Fall back 18:16, 19:16

I would like to be in Munich around 8pm/9pm the latest.
Good to know

Pace wise I'd like to have somewhat moderate pace to enjoy the views and also have more time up.

This is not a beginners hike. There are some rather exposed sections and prior experience with adequate fitness level is a required.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T4 , please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T4. Sure footedness and no fear of height is required.

Things to bring:

  • Hiking boots
  • hiking poles (recommended, optional)
  • Passport/ID since we are crossing the border
  • Pack always a rainjacket as the weather in the alps can switfly change
  • DAV insurance
  • Powerbank for your phone
  • Deutschland ticket
  • Food/drinks for the way (1.5 L - 2L  water recommendation and snacks to fuel you. Getting low sugar levels and being a tad moody probably won't make you the favourite buddy so bring enough water and snacks with ya to fuel you :) )
  • Proper Clothes - please think in layers ( onion principle i.e. have next to t-shirt a fleece/rain/wind jacket if it gets cold when cooling down and taking a break)
  • Sunscreen/ lip balm, sunglasses / hat or buff is recommended
  • + luxury items: pair of socks and a tshirt to change afterwards
  • First aid kit
  • Please download gpx track to your phone and make yourself familiar with the route.
  • Save the general 112 emergency call number for Europe/Alps as a reliable option for any given situation when hiking

Please be mindful and assess accordingly - You know yourself the best, be honest if you can do such a hike or not.

Regarding the pace - a moderate steady one. Important is to have the group or your buddies in sight.

If you like to run up or down, also fine, just remember we are a team and it is always good to have each other in sight and if needed give a helping hand on some sections.

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours. P

Disclaimer: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide. Everybody is responsible for her/himself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download a map and bring a cell phone and first aid kit for emergencies and to have some sort of insurance.
