Description

Join me for this hike with splendid autumn views of the famous Neuschwanstein castle! And as a bonus we will summit several peaks around Füssen!

We start at the Tegelbergbahn bus stop and go up towards Rohrkopfhütte via Hornburg and Rohrkopf. From there, we proceed towards Tegelberghaus via Branderschrofen and optionally Latschenschrofen (not in GPX) if we have the time. From Tegelberghaus, we go down towards Marienbrücke with views of Neuschwanstein castle along the way (via Tegelbergkopf if the route is open, otherwise we go around the peak).

Some parts of the route are quite exposed and require scrambling. Alpine experience is required.

We can take an early lunch/ snack break at Rohrkopfhütte and another cake break at Tegelberghaus in the afternoon. The entire loop should take around 7 hours at a moderate pace (350-400 hm/hr) so please keep the entire day free.

Hey everyone! Sorry, I had to unjoin caught a cold, might rejoin again if i feel better. The route is not so difficult! the short T5 section close to Branderschrofen might feel exposed but it's very well secured with cables. Tegelbergkopf ridge is always closed but you can still go through it, i would rate it as a solid T4+, there are a couple of spots where you have to down climb/scramble but that part is not exposed. It's a nice fun trail overall!
