Description

We are going to hike the uphills (at least 600hm/h), and run the flats and downhills where it's safe. We will take a break at Soiernhaus for drinks and some food, if time permits. There are multiple possibilities to cut short the hike if we start to run out of time.

The summits of Schoettelkarspitze, Soiernspitze and Gumpenkarspitze can be optional, in case you feel too exhausted to go up.

If I haven't hiked with you yet or if you aren't sure about joining, please send me a message.

The plan is to take the train leaving at 7:13am, and we'll arrive at 8:39 in Klais to start hiking. Trains back from Mittenwald to Munich leave every 30min until the 19:36 train. After that trains leave every hour at 20:36, 21:36, 22:36 (last train). I'm planning to reach the 19:04 or 19:36 train.

What to bring:

  • Have a very good fitness level. Ascend rate should be above 600hm/h at least.
  • Durable/Stable trail running shoes. We will have quite rocky terrain, and possibly some scrambling.
  • A comfortable backpack (or better a trail running vest) with which you can run for extended periods.
  • Good sun cream, and other means of sun protection, like a sun hat, or a baseball cap.
  • Gloves
  • Flexible hiking clothes, it will be quite warm and sweaty going up, but temperatures can drop quickly below 0 degrees.
  • Food and Water for a whole day (at least ca. 2 Liter Water recommended).
  • Charged smartphone (my number is +49 152 28632131, in case you get lost, or fail to find the group in the morning).

Good to have equipment

  • First aid kit
  • Extra battery / Powerbank for your phone
  • Hiking poles
  • Spare socks (if your feet get wet)

Cost per person

  • Werdenfels Ticket: Between 10 and 15 Euros per person (Bring Coins!)
