Here is a proposal for a relatively easy and scenic hike around the Murgsee lakes:

The meeting point is the Parkplatz Bachlaui in Merlen (Murgtal). The hike starts at 09:15am.

By public transportation: Murg is easily reachable from Zurich in under an hour: HBf S25 Direction Linthal Departing 7:43 Arriving 8:37. From Murg to Merlen there is a taxi service (Taxi Walensee - Ihr Taxi für die Region Sarganserland, Walensee, Flumserberg und Walenstadtberg), which must be reservated in advance.

Just to be clear: I organize the hike but everyone is responsible for her/himself on how to reach the starting point. This means: if you need the taxi-bus service, you have to contact it, I won't do it for you since I won't take it.

Please check the hike profile before joining the event.

Minimum hiking gear:

• Hiking shoes (and poles)
• Appropriate mountaineering attire for the Season
• Backpack with Warm & Rain clothes, no matter the weather forecast
• Sun glasses & sun cream
• Water & Food for picnic
• Loaded smartphone with Swisstopo or SuisseMobile App and downloaded local maps
• Suggested essential First Aid kit
