Let's do a nice and scenic ridge hike near Munich.
We meet up in Munich Hbf and take the RB6 train towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Once we reach Echenloche, we exit and hike up towards "Heldenkreuz" and from there towards the first peak Osterfeuerspitze (1368m). From there we follow the ridge towards Hirschberg (1660m).
After Hirschberg we descend towards Wankalm and then hike up until we reach the Buchrain (1456m) peak. From Buchrain we follow the ridge towards Raucheck(1590m) and from there we descend down a bit again.
From there we hike up on an easy path towards Heimgarten(1791m) where we make the first break.. after a short break (either on the peak or at the hut), we descend towards the ridge between Heimgarten and Herzogstand(1731m) and continue on the ridge until we reach the peak of Herzogstand.
From there we go down towards the Herzogstandbahn where we start the descent dowards Walchensee.
____
Considering this hike involves some relatively sketchy parts, and from my experience with taking people there, it's not for beginners.
We will cross over 20km and have elevation gain of almost 1800hm in one day. So being very fit is vital if we want to finish the hike in time.
Please only people who can do at least 450+hm/h going up without much trouble as this will be the pace(or higher).
The technical difficulty of the hike is not T6.
Everyone who considers joining please research the route in advance.
