Start of 4 – 5 hours hike at Brannenburg (500 m) at 09:40 to Wendelstein (1838 m).

From Wendelstein, you have the option of either walking down to Osterhofen (Oberbay) or talking the cable car down.

If you choose to walk down, you have to leave the peak latest by 3 p.m. (You would need to give yourself at least 2.5 hours to walk down to the train station).

Alternatively, if you choose to stay longer on the mountain, last cable car down at 5 p.m. (Ticket price: 15.50 €)

I plan to take the cable car down.

Meeting point on the way back: Osterhofen (Oberbay) on platform 1 at 17:30          

Train back to Munich:

BOB86882; Leaving Osterhofen (Oberbay) from platform 1 at 17:35; Reaching Munich Hbf at 18:54.

Munich Hbf at 08:15 at the connecting/ transfer end of platform 6.

We will buy the ticket at 08:20 sharp!!
