Beginner-friendly hike the Chasseral, the highest point of Bernese Jura
The hike begins with the ascent to the ridge. Once at the top, a magnificent view opens up, encompassing the three lakes: Lake Bienne, Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Murten as well as the Jura arc.
Difficulty: T2
Pace: moderate pace around 400m/h
Starting point and time: 9:20 Les Prés-d'Orvin, Bellevue bus station. If you come from Zurich there is a train leaving Zurich HB 7:30 and arriving in Prés-d'Orvin 09:17
Ending point and time: bus from Nods, bas du village, most likely 15:24, runs hourly
Equipment: good shoes, sun protection, clothing according to the weather - take layers, poles as you prefer
Lunch: bring water, lunch & snacks for picnic
