Description

Last minute hike to Spitzstein and a few other summits in Chiemgauer Alpen. Ideally the other way around is better but the connections are not that great, so we start from Sachrang and end in Aschau.

  • The T5 section is a short A/B via ferrata, helmet and via ferrata set are optional.
  • We’ll hike with a moderate pace of 400-450m of ascent per hour. Please do not join if you are significantly slower or faster. 
  • There is no hut after Spitzsteinhaus (we won't stop there as it's at the start of the hike) so bring enough food and water for the whole day.

Return: from Aschau im Chiemgau 16:25 (ideally!) or 17:43


Things to bring:

  • Waterproof hiking boots
  • Layered clothing according to the latest weather forecast
  • Hiking poles
  • Headlamp
  • Food and water for the whole day
  • DAV insurance or similar
  • Passport/ID (we cross the border to Austria)
  • Spikes (just in case)
  • Klettersteig set and helmet (optional) 
  • A good mood 😊
