Hello Hiking Buddies,
UPDATE: The Kolbernsattlehütte is closed until the 19th of Dec, for the switch over to the winter season. We will instead go here ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/aTaVkzu9JSvHdNS29 ) for lunch on the way down. Looks like decent snow, so be sure to bring winter gear.
Join for a relaxed pace hike from Oberammergau to the Kolbernsattlehütte. We will collect a few peaks along the way. The T3 sections are easily skipped, but worth the effort, so this is a very beginner friendly hike.
We will travel as a group and as fast as the slowest person. Once we get to the hut, plan on stopping for lunch. Hopefully the weather is nice, so we can simple enjoy ourselves and take our time. Depending on conditions, we can decide if they want to descend with the Alpine Coast or Rodelbahn, or simply on foot.

Hello All, looks like the recent snow has ended the summer season at the hut, and the winter season doesn't start until the 19th, and the hut is closed in the mean time, as well as the coaster and sledding hill. But all is not lost. The weather is look lovely and there is another hut/restaurant that is on our route, tho further down the mountain. So please join the WhatsApp ( https://chat.whatsapp.com/Fmcpj8KCbYIAXT1kSGvxlF ) for updates. If you decide not to join this time, please make room in the event so we can have an accurate head count.
Otherwise, bring your spikes, gaitors, and a hot thermos and we'll see us Sunday
