An interesting hike along a trail with several staircases on a completely sunny Sunday


Note: This hike is at least for intermediate hikers, because the elevation is about +1'000m with partial snow conditions.


How to get there:

Journey by public transport: Zürich HB 08:05 - Arth-Goldau 08:45

Arth-Goldau 08:49 - Küssnacht am Rigi 09:00

Küssnacht am Rigi 09:04 - Weggis, Dorfplatz 09:21

Journey by car: parking at Weggis, Seilbahn.


Meeting point:
9:25 AM - Weggis Dorfplatz (for people who come by public transportation)
9:35 AM - Weggis, Seilbahn (for people who come by car)

 
Hike:
  • The hike will last ca. 5 hours.
  • Short lunch break at Rigi Kaltbad or Rigi Chänzeli.
  • The pace will be medium with enough time for breaks.

  • The trail is likely to be partially muddy due to the mild temperatures we've been having lately.

Equipment:

  • Proper hiking boots, poles, snacks, enough water, proper (warm) clothes, sunscreen, good mood and fitness.
