I’d like to do a spontaneous hike to Geigelstein tomorrow, as I’ve just discovered that on Sunday DB doesn’t want to go to Sachrang 😀 & the weather looks good.
Yes, I know it’s better to do Geigelstein from Ettenhausen (mehr HM), but I’d like to start a bit earlier. The route from Sachrang/Berg to Geigelstein is easy. I’ve never done the Ettenhausen route before—time to discover something new.
There’s only one bus/connection back to muc from Sachrang at 14:44, which I don’t want to risk (but maybe I still will run back to Sachrang))). From Ettenhausen, there are at least several buses and connections back to Munich.
Transport:
Train there: 07:04 from MUC Ost (starts from Hbf), RB 5 to Salzburg.
Back: Bus from Ettenhausen (Schleching) at 14.50.
📩 NB!!! I don't receive any emails from HB. You want to join - please contact me in event chat or via WhatsApp.
🥾🧤🧣Please be prepared for winter conditions on the trail:❗️spikes is a MUST, might be icy ).
