Route: Mostly follow the recommended path(s) of the Winter Sports Map Region Dents Du Midi. Snowshoe / walk loop from Champery, towards Val-d'IIIiez, if conditions allow we will stay on the ridgeline on the approach to the summit of Croix de l' Aiguille. Some stretches without snow are possible.

For snowshoe hikes the route we follow could have small variations from the planned one.

This is an intermediate winter hike. Some experience with snowshoeing is recommended, and not suitable for beginners.
What to take: Food & Gear
Nutrition for Pre, during, and post activity - will be stopping at the cross (highest point of hike) for short lunch.
Please come with proper hiking/running gear*
Proper shoes for the event listed above. No gym shoes!
Trekking poles if you have knee problems or for added stability
If the event listed above calls for snowshoes and or spikes, then snowbaskets is recommended
Multiple layers of clothes for required temps. (incl, gloves, beanie, neck gaiter etc)
Rain, wind, snow and/or sun protection (inc. sunglasses, hat etc)
Weather Forecast Conditions:
At publishing it will be overcast/cloudy AM, same for the PM. Temperatures around 3 to +6 degrees at the bottom and 0 to +2 degrees at the top. Avalanche information can be checked on ski resorts webpage, MeteoSwiss under Natural Hazards, and skitourenguru . Two of the three mentioned above show level 3 considerable danger, keep an eye out for this and check in the lead up to the activity, with a chance of cancelling event late evening on Friday.
