Description

Winter hike in eastern Switzerland on groomed snow

over rolling hills with mountain views, leading to an

alpine restaurant.

There is fresh snow, so it’s snowshoe time!

(Not mandatory to bring if you can keep up with the

snowshoers!)

This is a hike with moderate difficulty (T2),

10.8 km length, +456 m elevation, expected

duration 4 hours.

Please only join if you think that you can handle pace

and distance in winterly conditions.

This is a group hike. We try to stay together the

whole time but may split into snowshoer/hiker groups.

How to get there

Public transportation:

Zürich HB 7:54 ----> Wildhaus, Lisighaus 09:54,

with change in Rapperswil SG and in Wattwil

By car: Parking Munzenriet 12, 9658 Wildhaus

Meeting and starting point is the Wildhaus-Oberdorf

chairlift Talstation (@47.198889, 9.341944,453m)

Good to know

Remember to bring:

- Some money for the ride with the chairlift (21 CHF,

with halb-tax is 10.50 CHF).

Discount for group 10+ persons 17 CHF each)

- Food/water for the whole day (anyway there is

a restaurant on the way where we can make the

lunch break)
