Description

Rund um Chiemsee (ILC)
It looks like the weather will be nice this weekend, but not very safe for the mountains - so it might be a good opportunity to finish the ILC instead.
For me, the “cherry on the cake” 🍒🎂 that’s still left is Chiemsee with its 57 km loop.
We’ll keep a normal pace so that we don’t need to “survive” the next day. Short breaks every 12-15 km sound good. We should bring our own food and drinks.
After the long walk, we could grab something to eat or drink in Prien am Chiemsee, if we are not completely exhausted.

! NB! Please note that strikes have been announced by Verdi for Friday and Saturday: so buses, trams and U-Bahn will not be running. S-Bahn and DB are supposed to operate (though with DB, even without strikes, it’s always a "surprise Box").
I’m really looking forward to this challenge and to everyone who’s joining!

Good evening, hope all are doing & tomorrow everything will be smoothly with public transport. I've analysed previous ILC rounds and can say, that the most comfy speed is between 5.5-5.8km/h, what we have already managed and try to keep this time. So, we can finish our long distance walk in 12h. See you tomorrow! MUST HAVE: - most comfy shoes - one pair extra socks - Pflaster - Sun protection/SPF, lip balm, sunglasses - buff - knees protection if you need - enough water and snacks - isotonics, energy boosters - good mood: the walk is long and challenging enough 😀 * Pause 10-15min every 12-13 km * Public Toilets: most of them might be closed.
