Dear lovers of carrot cake and hiking,

On a hiking buddies hike Zita and I were talking about carrot cake and in particular about what makes a good carrot cake. We discovered that we have rather different recipes and were curious to try each others cake, so why not make a hike out of it!

The idea is simple; we each bake a carrot cake (and invite you to do so too!) and we’ll go on a nice hike around Baar. We’ll do a lunchbreak with your own packed lunch somewhere during the hike. After the hike (I expect sometime between 3 and 4) we will go to Zita’s place for something to drink and eat some carrot cake. The route will therefore be slightly different towards the end of the hike. 

Meeting point and time:

Either at 11:00 at the train station of Baar or 10:30 near Zita’s place if you want to leave your cake there.

What to bring

A good mood and an appetite for cake! And your hiking boots, clothes for the weather, sunscreen, sunglasses and food and drinks for during the hike.

There is no pressure to bake a cake for this hike, it’s also fine to join and enjoy our baking! But if you like to bake and have a favourite recipe feel free to bring a cake.
