Alternative for skiing in case of avalanche risk drop: https://www.skitourenguru.com/?id=30091
Meeting point: St. Antönien, Litzirüti (1460 m) parking 3 https://maps.app.goo.gl/oL9vEEMje2rQ18zw6 (could be busy)
It is possible to come by public transport (9:16, 7:07 from HB). In this case, add a virtual car to the carpool.
Start Time: 9:20 at the parking place, 7:30 from Zürich (In case nobody will go with public tansportation we can go earlier)
Ski tour difficult grade: PD+, 1000m elevation,
Route: The route is quite easy and one of many routes in the St. Antönien area. This is a very nice area with a lot of snow. We will try to find a good place on the top to have a meal break :).
Weather: I expect nice weather
Avalanche danger: Low except in one pass. I expect that conditions are better than as shown in skitourenguru. Temperatures are relatively high, and snow is processed faster. We also have alternatives in case of higher risk.
Snow condition: I expect mixded condition. If there will be possibility to ski on the north side, we can find a lot of powder there. At the moment, the avalanche risk is high there.
Required equipment: Avalanche safety equipment (beacon, shovel, probes), Skitouring equipment (touring skis or board, poles, ski touring boots),
Recommended equipment: crampons for skies and boots, snowaxe (there is wallking part to the summit, not mandatory)
Disclaimer: I am not a mounting guide, so you are joining at your own risk. I have more than 15 years of ski-touring experience, so I can still help.
