The hike from Oberau up to Krottenkopf and Reißkopf is a breathtaking alpine adventure. As you climb higher through forests and rocky paths, the trail opens up to wide mountain meadows and dramatic ridges. At the summits, you’re rewarded with an unforgettable snow-capped mountain panorama — the jagged peaks of the Bavarian Alps shimmering in white, stretching across the horizon. On clear days, the view from Krottenkopf and Reißkopf offers a stunning contrast of rugged terrain and soft snow, perfect for photography, quiet reflection, and feeling truly immersed in the alpine world.
