One of Bavaria’s most iconic mountain views is waiting for us and if all goes well, we’ll get to enjoy it together this weekend 🏔️Hike to Kampenwand Ost 

The weather is looking quite promising so far 🌤️Key points:

• Meeting point: 08:16am in Aschau 😊Train connection: (RE5 departs 07:04 at Munich Ost, with a switch to RB52 which departs at 08:02 from Prien)
  
  
• We’ll hike up together as a group in a relaxed pace (350-400hm/h) and then decide at Steinlingalm whether we continue to the Kampenwand East Summit. The last part from Steinlingalm to Summit is the most crucial one and depending on ice/snow conditions we will move ahead or go back.
  
  
• Steinlingalm says they are open in good weather ☕🥨 but it’s still a good idea to bring your own snacks / lunch and enough water, just to be on the safe side
  
  
• Usual disclaimer: I’m not a mountain guide 🙈 so everyone joins at their own responsibility and should feel comfortable with mountain hiking, uneven terrain, and making their own decisions on the mountain
  
  
• Please bring:
  • sturdy hiking boots 🥾
  • a waterproof / windproof jacket 🧥
  • a warm extra layer 🧣
  • enough water 💧
  • snacks or lunch 🥪🍎
  • sunglasses & sunscreen 🕶️☀️
