Hike to Bodenschneid & Bodenschneidhaus

The weather is looking promising so far 🌤️ and if all goes well, we’ll get to enjoy a wonderful spring hike together with amazing views over the Bavarian Lakes and Mangfall Mountains as well as even Karwendel in good weather 😊

Key points:

Meeting point: 09:30 at Fischhausen-Neuhaus station 🚉
Train connection: easy to reach from Munich by BRB, leaving at 08:33 from Donnersbergerbrücke.

We’ll hike up together as a group at a relaxed and steady pace (around 350–400 hm/h) and follow the regular trail via Bodenschneidhaus to the summit. This is a straightforward mountain hike without any technical sections, but as always in spring, parts of the trail may still be wet, muddy, or a bit slippery depending on conditions.

The tour is a real classic and offers beautiful variety: forest paths, open alpine meadows, a lovely mountain hut, and a summit with fantastic panoramic views 🏔️💚

Bodenschneidhaus is open daily ☕🥨 which makes it a great spot for a proper lunch, but if you prefer to bring your own lunch no problem. I plan to have lunch at the Bodenschneidhaus.
