It's cold and there is a lot of recent snow in the mountains. Let's do something different.

This hike proposed here is not in the mountains at all. It's NW of Ingolstadt in a Nature Park.

It's part of the long Altmühltal-Panoramaweg trek. You can read more about it here (Altmühltal Panorama Trail).

Highlights are not peaks but rather countryside views, interesting rock formations, nice towns.

Highlights:

- the Burgstein rock formation (near Dollnstein)

- a panoramic view of Eichstätt (near Eichstätt)

- juniper heaths

- limestone cliffs

- Eichstätt baroque old town

- Dollstein medieval town

We end in Eichstätt where we can stroll though the nice, well-preserved Baroque city center and have afternoon cake/coffee.

We will have a medium pace. It's meant to be a chill hike, not a workout.
