Hi everyone! 👋

Iam planning a hike to Zugspitze via the Reintal route

Plan:

* Ascent: hike via Reintal (Garmisch-Partenkirchen → Partnachalm (bypass) → Reintalangerhütte → Knorrhütte → Zugspitze summit)

 Will try to reach  Reintalangerhütte to see sunrise 🌅

* Descent: cable car back down (cost 46€)

Travel Options:

* Option 1 ⭐️: Night travel using public transport from Munich, leaving around 11:30 pm and starting the hike around 1 AM ( go slow and avoid summer heat and get enough time to spend on summit ).

* Option 2 :  Go one day before and start the hike early the next morning

Good to know

✅ Sturdy hiking shoes/boots with good grip
✅ Waterproof/windproof jacket
✅ Warm layer (fleece/down jacket) as temperatures can change quickly at higher altitudes
✅ Hat/cap and sunglasses
✅ Sunscreen
✅ At least 2–3 liters of water
✅ Sufficient food and snacks for the day (sandwiches, energy bars, nuts, fruit, etc.)
✅ Small backpack
✅ Personal medications (if needed)
✅ Fully charged phone and power bank (recommended)
✅ Headlamp/flashlight
