Description
I was inspired by the route to Teufelstättkopf via Plattenberggrat that is available here. From another hike I know that this area is really beautiful :)
This time our plan is to ascend via Rosengarten and Bremeneck. We may have a break in August-Schuster-Haus after the peak. Their website doesn't inform whether it's currently open, so, just in case, have some food and drink with you. In that case we can still enjoy the food in one recommended Gasthaus in Unterammergau at the very end.
The way back to Unterammergau will be via Pürschling or Plattenberggrat, which is calmer.
Technical difficulty:
This hike is described as an easy one, however you should have a reasonable fitness level and be able to walk with the group. There is a short distance with T3 level (ca. 240m), better to have no vertigo. The rest is T1/T2 level. You may see pictures of the similar events in December and June to have an idea about the route.
If you prefer fast pace, you may consider another event.

Planning
The current construction works don't apply for us - at least per today DB information ;)
07:10 - Meeting at Platform 28 Munich HBF. Don't be late ;)
07:32 - Train RB 92311 to Murnau, then RB 59559 to Unterammergau
09:15 - Start hiking
16:42 / 18:42 - Train to Munich
Travel with the train takes approx. 1h45min each way.
What to bring:
- hiking boots - no sneakers allowed!
- food and drinks

torch / head lighting (I don't plan hiking after it gets dark but the
days are short now, so it's good to have it just in case)
- GPS route saved offline
- it's strongly recommended to have DAV membership or insurance covering accidents in the mountains
There
will be probably no snow on the way, weather forecast looks very good
as of today but be prepared for any conditions and have some warm
clothes with you.
Cost per person:
- Train ticket (Regio-Ticket Werdenfels): between 10-14€ per person (bring coins!)
