The weather is supposed to be beautiful, perfect for the Notkarspitze hike tomorrow!
The basic plan is the route listed in the event. If we fell fit and the snow does not slow us too much, we can extend the path and make it to the second peak, Brünstelkopf (https://www.hiking-buddies.com/routes/routes_list/1337/), which adds 200 height meters. On the other hand, if it is very wet and a lot of snow melting, we might need to skip the Gießenbachklamm and go down on the north slope (https://www.hiking-buddies.com/routes/routes_list/1143/).
This is relaxed medium speed winter hike. Not suitable for beginners, 400-450 meters per hour.
It is a T3 hike - not very hard, but there are exposed sections and it can be very slippery due to snow and mud!
I will drive from Munich Harras at 7am and can take you with me in a car :)
- Warm clothes
- Windproof jacket (we will be on a ridge for long time)
- Gloves, hat
- Gaiters
- Good waterproof hiking shoes
- Spikes, sticks (non-obligatory)
- Food and drink (there is no hut on the way). We might grab beer / coffee / cake in Ettal after the hike if we feel like :)
