Public transport: We will take M79007 departing at 6:55 am, which will arrive Traunstein at 8:14 am. From Traunsteing we take bus 9526 to Inzell, and from there bus 9506 to Aschenau, Ruhpolding. We will arrive there at 9:08 am. This is the start end point of our hike.

Departure time of return connection: The hike ends at bus station Fritz am sand, from where we take bus 9506 to Ruhpolding. The last bus departs at 17:15, and the ones before at 16:15, 15:15. So, if we want to avoid a 4km walk to Ruhpolding, we should make sure that we finish the hike before 17:15.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3 (mostly T2 though). Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2/T3. Due to snow, the route will feel more exhausting.

All the huts are closed, so please enough enough food/drink for the entire day in order to avoid starvation/dehydration.

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket (11 - 16 Euro)
• Food/drinks for the way
• Warm clothes
• Gaiters (required)
• Snowshoes or spikes (recommended)
• Headlight (just in case)
• Some tolerance for snowy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
