Changed plans: We will meet at 7:15 at track 28, to take the 7:32 train to Garmisch. We will buy a Werdenfels Ticket.

We can go to eat in Garmisch at the end of the hike, if everyone agrees.


Please be aware that there is a lot of snow on the mountains already. So you should be prepared for walking long distances uphill through more than 50cm deep snow. But otherwise there are no notable difficulties :)

What to bring

  • Have a good fitness level
  • Gaiters
  • Waterproof and warm hiking boots
  • Warm, but flexible clothing (it can be freezing, or sunny and warm)
  • Sunscreen
  • at least 1.5 liters of Water recommended
  • Food/Snacks for the day.
  • Headlamp, just in case

Good to have equipment

  • First aid kit
  • Extra battery / Powerbank for your phone
  • Hiking poles
  • Spare socks (if your feet get wet)
  • Spikes/Crampons

Werdenfels Ticket: Between 11 and 13 Euros per person (Bring Coins!)

Note: Please unjoin the event asap if you can't participate anymore. You can't drop out less than 12 hrs before the event starts! If you happen to be sick and have to cancel beyond those 12 hours, please drop me a message or leave a comment.

Disclaimer: Hiking can be a risky and dangerous sport. I am not a mountain guide. Everyone joins this event at her/his own responsibility. Ensure you are healthy and do not participate if you don't feel well. Should you start feeling unwell during the hike, let me know immediately. It is highly recommended to bring a map and a cell phone.
