Wanna have a great time together? Wanna have great views? Wanna burn some calories after Christmas overload? Then join me and will get all of these in this 2 peaks tour in beautiful wild Lechtal!!
I cannot skip my traditional epiphany hike and here I am!
From the car park in Rinnen we hike down the street to the right of the Seebach to the last house, then follow the path at the beginning of the meadows and take a short detour to the right to reach a ledge with a railing and an impressive view of the vertically falling Rotlech waterfall, probably completely white and frozen at the moment ;) After taking a break on the inviting panoramic terrace. Then we cross the forest road and continue uphill on the right. You meet the forest road again and pull to the left ("New path to the alpine pastures" - "Raaz Almen 614"). Then right again up the path in the forest. At the crossroads with a large sign tree and wooden signposts to the right, “Raaz Alm” (on the descent you come down from the left). You will soon reach free flat alpine meadows. The Reuttener Hütte can be seen to the right of the route. 10 minutes later we reach the Raazalpe (1736 m) and a forest road. On this it goes past the large mart Ww. "Galtjoch" - "Ehenbichler Alm". Before a wooden passage, follow a path on the right, Ww. "Galtjoch". Under the steep rocky outcrops of the Abendspitze above mountain meadows. On a Wiesenjoch we head to the left (northeast) via a path to Abendspitze, our first daily goal is reached!
We head back then along the ridge to the next higher target! With every step higher to the Galtjoch summit, the alpine wide-screen cinema increases and at the highest point you can also see the Allgäu mountain celebrities: Hochvogel (2592 m) and Großer Krottenkopf (2656 m). On the oher side the mighty Thaneller and the Hönig and many other Lechtal celebrities, the Zugspitze North East, Hochscrutte and Daniel north.
We then follow the same route back to the forest road. Now turn right on the forest road around the Abendspitze to the Ehenbichler Alm (1680 m). Opposite the mountain pasture, a steep path branches off to the right into the mountain forest from “Rinnen”. Later we reach the intersection known from the ascent with the large sign tree and wooden signposts and hike down the same path.
Looking forward to see you all in 2020!!
