Description

It's a beginner friendly medium hike and should take around 5 hours. There will be snow on the way, so prepare accordingly. And please read the instructions carefully before joining the hike.

N.B. 1. This route is inside MVV network, so, any student with a valid student ID card (from one of these institutions: https://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/tickets-and-fares/frequent-travellers/mvv-semesterticket/index.html) can travel without purchasing any ticket. For others, you need to buy a ticket for zone 6 (start and end point of the hike both are in zone 6 according to the new MVV Fahrplan). If you face problem finding the group at the S-Bahn platform please call me @017640491356.

Meeting point: We'll meet at Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) S-Bahn platform 2. We'll take the 09:13 S-Bahn towards Wolfratshausen. Please be there by the specified time and don't be late. For the persons who are not students or do not have a ticket for zone 6, we can buy a group ticket after meeting.

N.B.2. There are a lot of people in the waiting list and requesting me to join the hike. If you are unsure about your joining, I request you to deregister from the event well in advance.

N.B.3. The gpx file for this hike is already available. Everyone please download a gpx viewer app (e.g., bergfx, gpx viewer) in your phone and save the gpx file of the route. It is important to have the route beforehand if you get separated from the team!


Good to know

Things to bring:

  • Good water-proof hiking shoes are mandatory (No sneakers, sports shoes allowed).
  • Food/drinks for the way (It'll be sunny, bring water 2L aporx).
  • Hiking sticks are highly recommended. Gaiters are also recommended.
  • As there will be snow, if you have crampons, bring them.
