Description

This is a beginner friendly hike and the pace will be slow. If the conditions are good, we will try Brecherspitz.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T1/T2, and the last part is steep. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2. Due to snow, the route will feel more exhausting.

We will stop at Obere Firstalm for a late lunch. We will rent the sledge at the hut (5 EUR), you can bring your own sledge if you want. I will probably come with my ski. 

Things to bring:

  • Waterproof hiking boots
  • Cash for the ticket (11 - 16 Euro + 5 Euro for sledge), and for the food at the hut
  • Food/drinks for the way
  • Warm clothes
  • Gaiters (recommended)
  • Spikes (recommended)
  • Extra pair of socks
  • Some tolerance for snowy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide. Everybody is responsible for her/himself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download a map and bring a cell phone and first aid kit for emergencies.
