This is an easy hike with great views of Karwendel and Wetterstein, however because of snow it may feel challenging. The other important thing is that we have fixed time constraints for this hike, as the bus runs only twice on Sundays.

Public transport: We will take BOB86909 departing at 9:04 am, which will arrive Lenggries at 10:11 am. From there we take bus 9595 departing at 10:17 am, and finally reach Baker Jachenau at 10:38 am. This is the start and endpoint of our hike.

Departure time of return connection: 16:13 (1h41m)

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T2, however due to snow it may feel more exhausting. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2.

I don't expect any huts to be open during this time of the year. However, there is a nice big bench near the peak, so if it is not covered by snow, we can have a lunch break there. 

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket
• Food/drinks for the way
• gaiters (mandatory)
• spikes (highly recommended)
• Warm clothes
• Headlight (just in case)
• Some tolerance for cloudy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
