UPDATE: switched the time from 08:30 to 09:30 to meet at Wallberg Talstation.


"Winter Edition hike & sledge"! - waking up (not too) early on this Sunday morning, cold, snow, carpool ~1h driving, Setzberg, Wallberg, sledging down 6.5km. Let's go!

Sledging - before we start the hike we are going to rent a sledge at the valley and take it with us (5€ for renting, 20€ for deposit). There is no way to rent a sledge at the hut.

We can have lunch at Wallberghaus :-)

Good to know

Technical difficulty: This hike is graded as easy/medium and I would like to have a pace around 500. 

Things to bring:

  • Hiking shoes (recommended for Winter)
  • Food and water (1 or 2 litres) - there is a hut on the way where we could eat/drink something
  • Hiking poles
  • Gaiters (highly recommended)
  • Warm clothes
