This is an easy hike with great views of Chiemgau Alps and Bavarian Prealps, however because of snow it may feel challenging. The other important thing is that we have fixed time constraints for this hike, as the bus runs only twice on Saturdays.

Public transport: We will take M79007 departing at 6:55 am, which will arrive Bernau am Chiemsee at 7:56 am. From there we take bus 9502 departing at 8:22 am, and finally reach Sachrang Ort at 8:55 am. This is the start and endpoint of our hike.

Departure time of return connection: 14:43 (2h23m)

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T2, however due to snow it may feel more exhausting. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2.

Spitzsteinhaus is very likely open, and we will have lunch there, if we have enough time. However, this will happen during the descent, so please bring enough food and drinks for the whole day. 

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket
• Food/drinks for the way
• gaiters (mandatory)
• spikes (highly recommended)
• Warm clothes
• Headlight (just in case)
• Some tolerance for cloudy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
