This is a long but technically easy hike. Depending on pace and group's discretion, we may extend the hike to Karkopf, but this is optional.

Public transport: We take the Meridian train M79011 departing at 8:56 am. We will arrive Prien am Chiemsee at 9:51 am. At 10:02 am from there we take the train RB27559, which arrives Aschau at 10:16 am. This is the start and end point of our hike.

Departure time of return connection: 17:43 (1h23m), 18:46(1h20m), 19:46(1h29m) 

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T1/T2, and the last part is steep. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2. Due to snow, the route will feel more exhausting.

Hochrieshuette is closed, so bring enough food/drink for the whole day. Depending of the wind speed, we may have a lunch break at the peak.

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket (11 - 16 Euro), and for the food at the hut
• Food/drinks for the way
• Warm clothes
• Gaiters (required)
• Spikes (highly recommended)
• Snowshoes (will be very useful)
• Headlight (just in case)
• Some tolerance for snowy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
