Description

The weather looks amazing tomorrow! What about a hike to Fockenstein? We can have lunch at the Aueralm, open all year. You can bring your sledge, if you want to sledge downhill. See you tomorrow!

Good to know

Please note that I am not a mountain guide and that everyone is responsible for his/her own safety.

Please come on time to Hbf, otherwise you will have to buy your own ticket.

I do not expect excessive amounts of snow, but in some places it might reach 50 cm. So, as for any regular winter hike, here is the recommended equipment:

- good hiking boots

- gaiters

- crampons

- hiking poles

- warm clothing

- 2L of water

- enough food to sustain oneself till the hut

- sunscreen and sunglasses

- good mood and team spirit
