Let's go to Guffert near Achensee in Austria, a very prominent peak. We'll follow the less crowded north ascent with sort of "via ferrata" (B), avoiding the hot south ascent.

The hike will be postponed if the weather is not good.

Technical Difficulty: This hike is NOT suitable for beginners. The route involves some short and easy UIAA I climbing/scrambling sections, some secured with ropes. You have to be absolutely surefooted and no fear of heights. You should have above average pace (>450m gain/hour) and stamina, and walking speed of about 6km/h in the flat parts. 

Transport: We will go by car as the starting point is currently not accessible by public transport. Due to Kontaktbeschränkung only one person from another household is allowed in each car. The driver(s) may require passengers to pay in advance. Please read the car instructions carefully. If the hike or lift is cancelled or postponed, the drivers must reimburse the prepaid payments. Otherwise a passenger dropping out before departure must only be reimbursed if the driver can find a replacement. Car drivers must contact me first if they drop out.

Joining: Click on carpool. If a car has free seats, read the instructions and possibly join the car. Otherwise add yourself to the waiting list and regularly check for free seats. You are not automatically assigned to a car. If a car is deleted, you must add yourself to the waiting list again.
