Description
Hi All,
My name is Yuliia and I'm an advanced beginner:-) This is the first hike that I'm organising and I hope it will go smoothly.
This route is quite easy and you can find more information here - https://www.outdooractive.com/en/hiking-trail/toelzer-land/herzogstand/105932180/#dm=1
On the way back we may take a cable car and go down to Walchensee or we may come back the same way, however in this case the total route would be 17 km and we would need 7-7.5 hours instead of 3.5 plus some time to enjoy the views and rest of the top of Herzogstand or in Herzogstandhaus. Therefore, this is a full day hike suitable for beginners as myself:-)
I suggest to go there by Bayern ticket, a train leaves at 7:59 and we arrive to Urfeld at 9:27.

Good to know
Suitable for beginners; hiking boots and sticks are preferred. Please make sure that you take enough food and water. The weather seems to be sunny, however some warm clothes might be necessary especially on top of the mountain.
