Important: 

1) The route starts in Germany and ends in Austria, so bring your passport/document as there might be a passport check at the border.

2) There is some forecast for rain, so please bring a rain jacket.

Meeting point: Munich HBF, in front of platform 29

Meeting time: Sunday, 7:15 am

Public transport: We will take RB5411 from Munich at 7:32 am, which will arrive Mittenwald at 9:27 am barring delays. This is the start point of our hike. The end point is Scharnitz hbf.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3, with some scrambling near the peak. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for T3 sac scale. In general, this is not suitable for beginners, and you should have some experience.

There is a hut before the peak, however this hut is an open shelter (i.e., unattended), and does not serve food/drinks, so you must bring your own food/drink to avoid starvation/dehydration. We can have a lunch break at the hut though.

Things to bring:

• Hiking boots
• Enough food and drinks for the whole route
• Sunscreen / rain jacket (depending on the weather)
• Cash for the ticket
• Passport and/or other document for border check
• Some tolerance for cloudy rainy weather (The hike will be cancelled if there is a thunderstorm forecast though)

Note: Please unjoin the hike well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the hike, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
