Description
I, along with a couple of my friends, will hike to Musala in August. On the way we'll also cover a few other peaks as shown in the map. To make the trip shorter, we would drive from Sofia to the hut the previous night and stay there in the night. We'll start hiking early next morning. If any one of you are from Bulgaria/will be visiting Bulgaria at that time, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Good to know
Although in the map the route shows a T2, I talked with a local mountain guide and according to him the route is a T5. So, if you are joining me, please preparae yourself accordingly! This route is definitely not for a beginner/first timer. Only join me if you are fit and experienced enough to hike on such a diffuclt and exposed terrain!

I have done this in last Summer, there is no way that Musala is T5. Its T2 or some part maybe T3.

The route you took for Musala is a T2. But the one I'll be taking is different from you. I have talked with a mountain guide there (through my Bulgarian friend who is onviting me to her place) and this is the route the guide decided and this is technical difficulty according to the guide. I've not been there yet, so I have no idea!

I cant post the photo here but if you see very carefully, I see the differences between your route and my route is yours is smaller, and only there is different trail while going down from the peak to the hut. But, anyway, keep us posted after finishing the hike. Good luck :)
