We are crossing the border, so please bring your passport (or other document that you usually carry for border crossing)

This is a medium level hike - Even though technically not challenging, it has significant elevation gain. There is also a forecast for light rain in the afternoon.

Public transport: We will take RB59447 departing at 6:32 am from platform 27, and arrive Garmisch Partenkirchen at 7:54 am. From there, we switch to RB/REX5407 to Hochzirl (arriving there at 8:58 am) This is the start and end point of our hike.

Departure time of return connection: 17:01 (2h25m), 17:31 (2h55m), 19:01 (2h25m)

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T3.

We will stop at SolsteinHaus or Magdeburger huette for a lunch; I would prefer latter as it comes after the peak. Therefore, please bring enough food and drink.

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the tickets (15-19 EUR) + possibly for the food/drink at the hut
• Food/drinks for the way
• Sunscreen
• Swimming clothes, if you are interested in checking water temperature
• Some tolerance for cloudy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
