Description

Grubigstein and Garnterwand are two peaks of almost equal height. The goal is to climb Grübigstein, but if we have more energy we can continue on to Gartnerwand. Halfway up there is a hut called Grübigstein which is open, and it also has a chair lift! (the lift is open until 17:00... probably costs around 10€) There are some lazy options for people to go down

It's a T3/T4 hike, so it's a hard hike, so endurance is necessary.

See detailed description here: https://www.outdooractive.com/de/route/bergtour/lechtaler-alpen/grubigstein-2233-m-und-gartnerwand-2377m-von-lermoos/113424449/#dm=1

Please look at the outdoor active version. It differs a bit from the route that is posted here (it is easier), but I cant change the event without deleting it first.

Good to know

We will take the 7:13 train to Lermoos from platform 27-36 at Munich Hauptbahnhof (arrive at 8:58). We will probably not be back in Munich before 20:00

- Hiking shoes

- Hiking poles (recommended)

- 2 litres water

- money for train ticket and the hut

- snacks

- sunscreen

- face mask for train and huts

- it is a good idea to have your passport with you since we are going into Austria.

Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else
