Hi all,


Planning a nice hiking day up to Rotwand. I've been to Spitzingsee before, but first time on this route. I am planning to follow this tour as it was recommended in the community:

Of course we visit the hut to reward ourselves and as long as time allows ;)


Please only join if you think you can handle 1000m altitude without much effort and have the right equipment!


We take the first train and plan to catch the return bus at 16:28. Back in Munich 6pm.


The hike is subject to be cancelled by me if the weather forecast looks bad on Friday.

According to the outdooractive link the route is 8hrs, not ca 7hrs?

There is a later train we can catch. But yes, we shouldn't be slower than the average hiker.

Alex, I would be interested in the event, I have done this route before as well but in the middle of the winter :D I see there is quite a lot of waiting but if there is some scope to join, let me know. Regarding my pace, it should be average. I am new to hiking buddies but personally I hike atleast once a weak, these days a bit more and running/biking during the week.

Great weather for tomorrow! Anybody knows if we can use the Oberland Bahn Gruppen Ticket for the bus to Spitzingsee? Or need a separate ticket?
