Description
The train line between Munich and Mittenwald is interrupted due to damage caused by the heavy rain on Tuesday.
There is a bus replacement service but it takes 3 hours each way to and from Mittenwald : for ex 9:32-12:23.

The travel is very inconvenient and therefore the hike is postponed. I apologize for the late notification but I just learned earlier today of the issue.
I will set up a replacement hike for Sunday 09.12. in the next hour.
Ease shady hike through the Leutasch gorge, then up to the border ridge and to two lakes above Mittenwald. We will stop at both of them and have a swim (at least) at one of them.
The panoramic way above the river through the gorge offers beautiful views, then the hike to the lakes in the shade is comfortable, and then we can find a spot for lunch and swim near the lakes. Return to Mittenwald easygoing downhill.

Disclaimer : I am not a mountain guide and every participant takes part at his/her own risk. In case of bad weather the hike can be cancelled until 48h before departure.
Good to know
There is a beer garden on the way, but it is often full, so please
bring your own lunch and enough water. Even though the hike is easy,
part of it are mountainous, please have hiking gears and good shoes and
bring adequate condition.
We will cross into Austria, please bring identification.
We will buy group train tickets. Please be punctual.

The hike does not take place today Sunday 9 AUgust! It seems some of you did not receive a notification of the postponement. Today train services to Mittenwald are interrupted. Sorry for the inconvenience.
