Description
Dürrenberg is a 1686m mountain in Lenggries situated near the Sylvensteinstausee. The hike is mostly described here https://www.karwendel-urlaub.de/umgebung/sylvensteinsee/wandern/duerrenberg/ but this is modified for public transport.
Please note, this hike is not suitable for beginners or slow hikers.
We will try to catch the return connection at 17:04 and will arrive in Munich at about 19:00.

Good to know
Please bring enough water and food. I would advise 2l of water, as there is no hut along the way.
Mask, cash, hiking boots, and ID card are mandatory.
Hiking poles, insurance, and sunscreen are highly recommended.
You may jump into the lake, if the time permits. So bring your swimming suit if you want to :)
Hiking Buddies Munich is not a group of professional mountain guides but individuals gathering for sport activities. Each participant is responsible for her-/ himself and has to be prepared, bring suitable equipment and has to check if he meets the physical requirements. Hiking includes a certain risk and everybody is responsible for his/ her own safety. It is highly recommended having some kind of insurance in case of an incident.

hi Vivian, that's a nice route.I did it last weekend and to be on the safe side I would bring 3L of water. Up the peak there is no shaddowy passes so it can be pretty hot around 11am already. Also you can continue to Demeljoch peak after Dürrenberg. Have a wonderful hike ;)

so the lakes are in the beginning of the hike and the end point where we would take a train back is Dürrenberg?

Hi Olesya, we need to change train to bus to get there. The bus stop is in Fall, Lenggries. Dürrnberg is only the name of the peak. The lake is next to the bus stop. :)
