Description
Only for experienced hikers, comfortable with scrambling level I and exposed sections.
Before joining, please have a look at the route ( https://www.summitpost.org/gamsanger-route/655021 ) and the description (https://www.hoehenrausch.de/berge/wettersteinspitze/ ) to make yourself familiar with the plan.
Things to bring:
- Hiking boots
- food and drinks for the whole day
- Cash for the ticket
- Helmet
- Climbing gloves
Under normal conditions we will have a break at Ferchensee. If you like swimming, after reaching the summit you can enjoy the break at the lake.

Dear all,
We are meeting one hour earlier than planned.
According to some weather forecasts it may start raining at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. To minimize the risk of walking on wet exposed terrain, we will start earlier.

In that case, instead of leaving Ingolstadt at 5 to catch the earlier train, I will leave at 6:00 with my car. Passing donnersbergerbrücke at 7:00 and reaching Mittenwald at 8:20 with you.
